Free training for staff  and volunteers

National training provider CeeMac is able to offer  funded training and development opportunities for staff and volunteers in the voluntary and community sector. More information.
 
 
Milton Keynes Neighbourhood Regeneration Strategy
The Regeneration Strategy looks at ways to  tackle the problems of the most deprived and disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Milton Keynes. It is currently in draft form and is open for consultation until 12th August 2008.  Visit  the Milton Keynes Council Website to download the strategy.

CRB Checks

For any groups struggling with the question whether or not they need to carry out Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks on volunteers, the government has just published a helpful guide.  Download a copy of the guide here, or visit the Cabinet Office Website for more information.

 

Community Allowance

Do you think there should be a change to the benefits system so that community organisations can pay people to do work for their neighbourhood without it affecting their benefits?  The CREATE Consortium wants to see the introduction of a Community Allowance.
